New To Necro Question About MM
Hi guys, now I'm thinking of making a Necro and understand they're a very versatile class, I understand that SS is quite powerful but for some reason which I cannot pin point I'm more attracted to Minion mastery..
I'm just wondering is a MM viable end game without OoU or is it really quite necessary?
Any useful input is greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

You can do without it,run AotL instead. You can take EBSOH too.

If you don't or can't run Order of Undeath, learn to be good with Death Nova. The new minion window helps a lot.

How often have you given a hero OoU? Yes it's viable without, but minions are useless if their damage isn't raised somehow; be it through Death Nova, OoU, Ebsoh or barbs/MoP. Waste of a party slot.

Theres so much fun builds you can play with necro, you can do like.. anything! Name a role in a VQ that a necro can't fulfill, anyone?
Go for it mate, OoU isn't neccesary.

Meat shield, meat shield, meat shield... as long as the foes are hitting on the minions, ima happy. As stated above, additional damage from Death Nova is viable for peeps now.
Never used Order of Undeath... don't feel comfortable with it... 10 minions each getting 5 hits during a battle & your dead, or your monky is cussing you... and you can't turn em off.

Well.... thank you all for all of your input, it's very appreciated, I was certainly planning on bringing EbsoH hoping that would suffice for the dps increase.
I'm sure I will delve into death nova at some point as Xeno mentioned the new [Y] key implementation helps (I'd also thought that window will be a godsend for Jagged too)
A curses Hero will most definitely be following me everywhere I go for MoP/barbs/Weaken Armor and what not.
regarding the rest of my party I'll be doing lots of experimentation changing them according to area I'm heading.
Again thanks to everyone for their opinions, I'm off to make a Necro

I actually used to use OoU befoe AotL was buffed
If you want to ramp damage/increase the amount of mins , take a utility MM w. Jagged bones and animate shambing as well. Much fun can be had.

Hopefully the builds I experiment with are less of a hassle than picking a name

Sorry bro the best necro name has been taken (i have it)
Jagged Bones, after looking at heroes using it; they don't use it well.
People think it's used well because you may maintain a high amount of minions, but the heroes don't prioritise on what's about to be dead, and you can easily maintain.
Running it on a player with Feast for the Dead works well because you can prioritise old minions, but don't use Shamblings... Feast+Animate Minions+JB+DN. Same as most would use on a hero.

Thanks for the input Higher, I'm just gonna trial and error until I find something that works for me,
I've yet to decide if I like the name and wont start playing until I'm happy with a name (I have such a hard time picking and choosing names it's terrible) Now I'm torn between I Necrownage I and Merciless Minions I think the second being the better choice.
I was looking into +8 Earth for Mystic Regen,=13 Seconds +3 regen for each enchantment for army maintenance, then saw that 8 Healing for Breeze will give +7 regen unconditional for 15 seconds so leaning towards that for BotM spamming only 1 less pip but +2 seconds.
I guess I should stop analyzing everything and just start the experimenting eh hahaha.

Well... I had chosen Merciless Minions as even though I'm only one Necro My "minions" will be merciless
Regarding your build suggestion I'm wondering why only 14 DM wouldn't 12+1+3 Death be better(to obtain the highest level minions possible, not to mention the extra damage from death nova)?
I may be wrong but if you wouldn't mind clarifying why only 14 DM please I'd appreciate it.
